Embodied Prayer for Lent

Thursdays 8.30 – 9.00am  on zoom

March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10 2025

All welcome!

Lent is the season in which Christians remember that, shortly after his baptism in the River Jordan, Jesus was led into the desert by the Spirit. Traditionally it is a time for seeking to strip away that which diminishes or obstructs our relationship with God.

Connecting with our body can be a bit like journeying into the desert. We may wonder what we will find there and what this could have to do with our spiritual lives. And yet we are drawn to the journey because there is something in us which longs to come into relationship with God with the whole of who we are.

These sessions will be an opportunity to connect prayerfully with your body and breathing through mindful awareness, through movement and in stillness, remembering that the God who became incarnate in human flesh and offered his body for the world is always present and near for each one of us.
